The best piece of educational software for this age group I have come across!

I am very critical of educational software as my children have tried quite a lot of it and have learnt very little, but I can honestly say both parents and children loved the Skills For Success software.
The boys loved everything about it, the noise of the crowd, putting their names on the football shirts, the shooting at goal, the celebrations of the players, everything.
Michael has the attention span of a goldfish so anything educational that engages him in that way must be good. One very positive thing from my point of view is that there is no getting away from the learning side of the software. Usually my children will find the easiest game on an educational package and play that endlessly (or until I stop them). That is not an option with Skills For Success- or if it is they haven’t managed to find it.
I particularly liked the fact that, even if you get the question right you may still fail to score. I was enraged the first time that happened to me.
Someone has been doing their homework on SATs as it covers pretty much everything they need to learn in Year 2 but at the same time we also found plenty of questions that Alexander (reception class) could attempt.
It’s easily the best piece of educational software for this age group I have come across.
